Dalton Chemistry Tuition

Revision Course Outline April 2023

For the fifth full academic year running, during the Easter school holidays I`ll be offering a limited number of places for an online A2 revision course. The course will run over three days and students will have the option to attend as little as one day or as many as all three. I’m offering the course on this basis because as an experienced Chemistry teacher I’m aware that students will always have strengths and weaknesses in the different branches of the Chemistry syllabus.

With the exams looming in June, the focus of this course will be exam technique. After reviewing the content of each topic, we will spend time looking at some of the trickiest questions associated with that topic.

I plan to cover all content of the A level syllabus. Following each day students will be sent the notes for each session and all registered students will be provided with free access to a huge wealth of question-based subscriber resources I’ve collated. I will also record the sessions and provide students with the recordings if requested.

The course will take place online via zoom.

I will focus much of my attention on the topics that have been designated as highly weighted in the advance information document however it is worth noting, topics that seemingly have been “removed” may be still tested in lower mark questions. Reports suggest these lower mark questions may add up to 10% of the total available marks – a difference between either side of a grade boundary.

Courses will run between 8:30-16:30

The fee for each day is £80
